Starbucks commits to green building - by Charles Redell
A year after announcing the closure of 600 U.S. stores because of slowing sales, Starbucks is back to planning new stores. This time, it plans to spend more upfront and save money on operating costs by building them to U.S. Green Building Council standards. The company is also setting some other sustainability benchmarks.
