Presidio makes executive decision
by Wes Miller - 12.17.07

SAN FRANCISCO

The Presidio School of Management, in partnership with law firm Hanson Bridgett, announced in September plans to launch a 10-month sustainable certificate for executives. The program, set to begin in January, is designed to put executives and their companies on the fast track to sustainability.

Presidio launched its Sustainable Management MBA in 2003, and has since welcomed more than 56 students into the program. The new program targets senior-level executives and is conducted with the assumption that candidates already have a solid grasp of business models and quantitative analysis.

“We’re putting this program out there as a great opportunity for executives that may be considering a project or initiative geared toward sustainability,” says Rebecca Massoud, Presidio’s public relations director. “We can help [them] make the case.” Presidio says its program also benefits from having senior level executives putting their heads together on the issues.

Students and teachers meet face to face once a month. The rest of the coursework is done online. San Francisco–based Hanson Bridgett is a sponsoring partner. Classes are set to take place in the law firm’s downtown office. Presidio School of Management is affiliated with Alliant International University.
