Smoked salmon soda for the Northwest gourmand.
Smoked salmon soda?
by Celeste LeCompte - 12.20.05

Jones Soda Co. is perhaps best known for its quirky labels bearing customers’ own snapshots. But the holidays bring out another oddball product from Jones: holiday-meal themed sodas.

The Seattle company’s line of holiday beverages started with a vegan, fatfree, no-carb turkey and gravy soda. Throw in a few other flavors, like cranberry sauce, wild herb stuffing, broccoli casserole, corn on the cob, and pumpkin pie, and it’s a holiday meal in a six-pack. The latest addition to the seasonal line is pitched for the Northwest palate: a smoked salmon pate soda. Jones Soda purchases few conventional advertisements, and the holiday sodas are designed not to turn a buck as much as to turn a few heads.

Jones Soda also offers a year-round line of organic juices and tea blends, and it runs its fleet trucks on biodiesel.
