The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) Nov. 7 announced the launch of a new Web site aimed at providing year-round educational seminars for green building professionals. With the support of $1 million from United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX), the nonprofit membership-based organization plans to offer free and fee-based courses online at www.Greenbuild365.org.

USGBC' made the announcement at its annual Greenbuild conference, held this year in Chicago Nov. 6-9. The council plans to offer courses through Greenbuild365 on topics ranging from implementing carbon reduction strategies to applying the council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) principles in building projects and renovations.
