What's ahead for 2011?

Join Sustainable Industries to discuss what the coming year holds for sustainable business.

We don't claim to be prognosticators here at Sustainable Industries, but the New Year promises to be a momentous one for sustainable business and investors.

As the West Coast leads the battle against climate change with new regulations and policy, cities are coming up with inventive ways to finance and incentivize renewable energy and energy efficiency retrofits. Venture capitalists will be revaluating their green tech investment strategies as federal incentives for renewable energy begin to sunset and competition with China grows. Investor interest in West Coast sustainable agriculture startups is likely to intensify, as is the push to integrate water-saving innovations into green buildings.

Building on our annual TrendWatch issue, Matt Golden, founder of energy efficiency retrofit firm Recurve, and Victor Westerlind, a venture capitalist with RockPort Capital Partners, will join Sustainable Industries editor Todd Woody on Thursday, Jan. 13, to discuss what’s ahead in 2011 in a free Webinar. Be part of the conversation.
